Moutain asleep- hello anxious

From Louisville, they describe themselves as happy hardcore. Pretty vague as i could classified Shook Ones, Goodbye sweet halo or Yo man go in that category. This is almost as fast as Ampere for the timing of the songs, this looks like a bit of epic, a bit of fast forward punch into the face, ala true north with hints of ragan tone singing (yeah i love the man) and the intensity of Fiya. Great band.

Fake problems- It's great to be alive

Its coming out: if you like as usual please buy it.
Please check no idea records for their gigantic distro catalog. Lots of greats cds/lps/dvds to get.
I'll come with other distros soon enough.
So I remember seeing a girl wrote: Fake problem's singer looks a lot like Tom Gabel but handsomer. I can hear the never sold out punks saying "yeah i listen to fake problems since against me! are long gone sold out!"
Well we all have our points of view...
On some songs you can definitely think of the gang of gainesville, but it goes way beyond. To say some parts made me think of early mad caddies (horns style) and some other ambiences made me link them to emir kusturica. Yeah what up?! I'm not drunk, and these are only some hints...
You can feel like dancing too, you can feel like being happy when you listen to naples' -fla-catchy tunes!
This album is great, even if i don't like it at 100percent, well maybe because i don't like that much the bands i've just mentionned...

Get Bent/Thousandaires/Yo Man go!

Here are Get Bent, Thousandaires and Yo man go!
Three bans which i classified more or less in the same genre.
Thousandaires are a mix (and share musicians) of Get bent, Bridge and tunnel, Halo Fauna. Get bent are in the vein of Latterman (east coast punk rock with the smile) and Yo man go! sounds like all of this too. Awesome diy bands, great singalongs, for the love of music.

Colossal- Welcome the problems

Oh boy this is fresh music. I know it's not from 2k9... colossal first full lenght is 3 years old. But it has a little cap'n'jazz similarity. Colossal style, from Chicago, is pretty unique, it's jazzy, it's catchy, it's dancy, great songwriting with lots of varying tempos, creating a great dynamic troughout the whole 10 songs. Some trumpets, some great melodies, guitars stucking into your head with mellow voices. Pat ford's low singing guides you. This is great music.

1. The dusk of us
2. The serious kind
3. Hot probs
4. The 1/5 compromise

This will destroy you- Young mountain

I remember saying that one of TWDY' teeshirt was the worst artwork I've ever seen. Maybe its because they're texans...I know I'm judging, and you can't judge a band on its merch but on their music. Ala Explosions in the sky (to name the best), they deliver post rock music, with the needed ingedients to make epic-ness tunes, pounding drums, striking guitars... It's all about setting an atmosphere, going to the climax then release the pressure.Intense.
Dates back from 2006.

1. Quiet
2. The world is our ___
3. I believe in your victory
4. Grandfather clock
5. Happiness-we're in this together
6. There are some remedies worse than the disease
